Rains in Delhi

Monday saw Delhi getting soaked, and stuck, in torrential rain

The signs were ominous as we got into our cab as the heavens seemed to be on the verge of an explosion

And sure enough the heavens opened just as we were about to enter Delhi. As waters lashed our cab, the strong wind made a flowing river of the road.

As our super slow cab driver got himself in to a strategic position between two buses :p, we knew it would take a few hours to get home. Out came those multimedia phones whose speakers seemed to be mute in comparison to the thunderstorm taking shape above us.

After a couple of wrong turns around jam-packed CP, thanks to lover boy R, we finally found our way home, and dry, to Janakpuri. It seemed the rain gods had only showered their blessings on the hi-fi areas of South Delhi and the Tihar immates, and their neighbors :(, have been left dry.

The next day was as clear as the previous was dark, but a few remnants, such as this insect on the office building, was there to remind us of the destruction the day before

  6. On a serious note (I wish it was a rupee note)! I like it how you are trying to weave a story connecting the small small instances which make us realise that life is lived in small moments..the poetic language is inspiring..I wish I could write this way :|
